When you are into a specific sport for some time you inevitably start to get used to specific aspects. Skiing down a nice slope off the beaten track might still be the thing to do for you, source of your main motivation and the most time consuming activity. But after time the focus changes. You pay more attention to the not so obvious side effects, you become a Not Skier.
Skitouring in South America is for me such a fulltime miniadventure. Sure, the main motivation is the skiing itself. But it’s not just the skiing itself. It’s the motivation of surprising yourself. Mostly with activities that usually appear only as a side effect of skiing. This is the time when the not skiers fade into focus.
The not skiers eat vegan.
